Warhammer Kart Racer Accelerates Full Launch, Ditches Microtransactions, and Honors 250,000 Testers
May-19-2025

This announcement marks a major milestone for a popular Warhammer-themed kart racing game. The developers have been working hard during the testing phase with a large community of engaged players.
Caged Element has confirmed that their multiplayer racing title will be leaving the testing period and officially launching its full version next week, on May 22. Over 250,000 players participated during the testing phase, contributing valuable feedback to shape the game.
The official 1.0 update comes with significant modifications. The most notable change is the removal of all in-game transactions, so new players will no longer need to collect currency to access additional items. Players who accumulated a sizeable amount of in-game currency during the testing phase can still use it for the next 12 months.
Existing participants will receive the full version of the game without any extra fee as a gesture of appreciation from the development team and the returning publisher, Wired Productions. This decision is backed by the intention to thank the dedicated player community, especially as the role of the previous publisher transitions.
Additional support after the launch will be provided in the form of downloadable content packs that follow a conventional release format. Key points of the update include:
- The official release of the 1.0 version next week
- The removal of all in-game transactions
- An extended period for using previously earned in-game currency
- A free upgrade for all testing phase participants
- Support with traditional format DLC packs post-launch
When the game becomes officially available on May 22, it will be priced at £12.79, $15.99, or €15.99 for those continuing the journey into this Warhammer-inspired racing experience.
